Benaki Museum (building at Pireos st)

The Benaki Museum is the oldest museum in Greece. In the light of new demandings and contemporary trends towards decentralisation,  the Museumís collections was divided into several different entities.  The well-known neoclassical mansion of the Benaki Museum continues to be the focal point of the new structure extended through the addition of a new wing, offering visitors a rare opportunity to form a complete and uninterrupted picture of the historical evolution of the Greek people

EMST - The National Museum of Contemporary Art
